A Sample Prayer
We pray for those who suffer from addiction....look upon them
with compassion, restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, remove
the fears that attack them, take away the feelings of low self-worth, and
strengthen them in the work of their recovery. And to those who care for
them, give patient understanding and the persevering love that can only come
from You. Lord, in your mercy....
This sample prayer does not "belong" to any particular
denomination, nor is it a "perfect" prayer. We offer it here only as an
example of a prayer that has been used.
