Recovery Stories

We'd love to hear from those who've been touched by Recovery Weekend, or strengthened in their recovery by  prayer.   We know of some such stories already, and we might post some anonymous stories here in the future.

My friend Matt is a father of two and had been struggling with his wife and his son who have the illness of addiction. I had been encouraging him to go to Al Anon meetings. On Recovery Sunday he called me to say he had decided to go to a meeting that night. The day after he called me to say how helpful the meeting was. Another miracle due to the prayers of Recovery Sunday-Thanks!!!
 

Fr. Joe told me a story about a women who approached him one week after Recovery Sunday. She reported that on Recovery Sunday she brought her daughter to Church services and heard his sermon on Recovery. After the service her daughter said she has been inspired to go back to her AA meetings. This Mother was so grateful for Recovery Sunday.
